Certifications
The standards we are held to. The achievements that reflect them.
Credentials in medicine are not collected for display. They are earned through the clinical rigour, the continued education, and the professional accountability that distinguish a practice built on genuine expertise from one built on confidence alone. The certifications, accreditations, and recognitions listed here represent the external validation of the standards Ministry of Skin holds itself to — from Dr. Dhavala's designation as a Key Opinion Leader for mesoestetic and as India's only Endolift Train-the-Trainer certified dermatologist, to the awards and institutional recognitions that reflect the quality of care our patients consistently receive. We share them not to impress, but to inform — because when you place your skin, your hair, and your confidence in a clinical team's hands, you deserve to know exactly what qualifies those hands to hold them.
The Path to Expertise with Dr. Mauricio de Maio - Programme 1
Mauricio de Maio is one of the most respected names in global aesthetic medicine — the creator of the MD Codes® system that has redefined how the world's leading practitioners approach facial anatomy, injectable placement, and the pursuit of natural-looking results. Programme 1 of his Path to Expertise series is a rigorous, anatomy-led curriculum that establishes a complete clinical philosophy around facial assessment, proportional analysis, and aesthetic restraint — certifying practitioners not just in how to inject, but in how to see a face, understand the vectors of ageing, and make decisions that honour the patient's natural features rather than override them.
The Path to Expertise with Mauricio de Maio — Programme 2
Building directly on the anatomical and philosophical foundations of Programme 1, this advanced certification deepens the practitioner's command of the MD Codes® system — extending into complex facial treatment combinations, advanced filler placement techniques, and the clinical decision-making required to achieve consistently natural, harmonious results across diverse patient presentations. Achieving this certification places the practitioner within a select global community of aesthetic clinicians assessed and validated by one of the most exacting aesthetic educators in the world — not through a weekend workshop, but through a structured, internationally recognised programme of genuine clinical rigour.
Endolift — Train the Trainer
The Endolift Train the Trainer certification is not a standard treatment qualification — it is the advanced designation awarded to practitioners who have not only mastered the Endolift procedure to the highest clinical standard, but have been assessed as competent to train and mentor other clinicians in its delivery. Endolift uses a micro-fibre optic inserted just beneath the skin's surface to deliver laser energy directly to subdermal tissue — stimulating collagen contraction, inducing lipolysis, and producing meaningful skin tightening and contouring without surgery — and its technical demands are such that holding a Train the Trainer certification places Ministry of Skin's clinical team among the practitioners qualified to shape how the next generation learns it.
Mesoestetic — Key Opinion Leader
Mesoestetic is the laboratory behind Cosmelan and Dermamelan — the most widely validated professional depigmentation systems in global dermatology, used across more than 90 countries and supported by an extensive body of peer-reviewed clinical evidence. Key Opinion Leader designation from mesoestetic is a clinical recognition awarded to practitioners who have demonstrated exceptional expertise in the professional treatment portfolio and earned the organisation's confidence as a voice of authority in their field — and it is a designation held by Dr. Dhavala, reflecting her depth of experience in pigmentation science and her position among the international clinicians shaping how professional depigmentation is practised.
Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser — Clinical Certification
The Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is the gold standard in dermatology for the treatment of pigmentation, melasma, tattoo removal, and carbon laser facials across diverse skin types — and its power and precision make formal, structured training in its use non-negotiable. Clinical certification in Q-Switched Nd:YAG practice confirms that the treating dermatologist has undergone rigorous training in laser physics, tissue interaction principles, parameter selection across skin types, safe treatment protocols, and adverse effect management — the clinical foundation that underpins every laser session at Ministry of Skin, including the specific protocols required to treat darker Indian skin types safely and effectively.
